LA reading/Moveon.org event

02-Oct-2004

Hi Guys,

I hope you've had a good summer. I'd love to report that I spent three months hanging out in South America, but alas, about the only traveling I did was on a cruise ship -- which sounds totally boring and is something I never wanted to do -- except that I went with my parents and I knew this would make for great material. Needless to say, my parents did not disappoint. I've included the experience in my next book, which I'm still plugging away at.

I've come down with a cold which means I don't have the energy to come up with a nice transition to segue into this next paragraph so let me just come right out and say two things. (1) Please remember to vote. The last election was decided by a mere 537 votes. (2) If you're anywhere near L.A. next Saturday night, please come say hi to me at my reading benefiting Moveon.org. I'm participating with a handful of other authors such as Craig Clevenger, Josh Bearman and Meghan Daum.

I've pasted all the details below. Hope you're doing well. And happy travels!

Best,
Wendy
